Our History

Berea Baptist Church 1930sBerea Baptist Church was founded in 1852 with the goal of bringing people to Christ in the Fredericksburg, VA area. Shortly after its inception, the United States Civil War broke out. During the Mud March of January 1863, Union troops used the church as a stable, tore out the gallery and pews, and broke the windows. Thankfully, the church was repaired after the war. The photo on the right is from the 1930s and the main sanctuary still stands today! We welcome you to our church and look forward to rejoicing with you!

Our Mission

Berea Baptist Church exists to draw a broken and hurting world to a loving and gracious Heavenly Father that will never forsake us. We will strive to shine the light of God’s love to all, while actively living out the command of Jesus to all Christians: go and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
