Mandy Howard joined our staff in 2016. She grew up in Springfield, Virginia and has lived up and down the East Coast. Mandy is married to Pastor Phil Howard and has 3 children. She serves alongside her husband here at Berea Baptist as Children’s Minister and also serves at Richland Baptist Church Preschool as Preschool Director .

Ares Bisco is originally from the Philippines and grew up in Alameda, California. Growing up in a minister’s home under the influence of his father, Ares became involved with nearly every aspect of church ministry at a very young age: music, youth, education, administration & custodial, senior adults, and outreach. He has served in various churches as worship leader and in youth ministries prior to coming to Berea. He is currently the Interim Music Director while serving in the search committee. Ares and his family moved to Virginia for his last military assignment in 2002, and joined Berea Baptist Church in October 2016. Ares is married to Delia and they have three beautiful daughters, Rianna, Jessie, and Ally. Favorite Verse: May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. Psalms 19:14

Deacon of Month – Billie Ann Sutton
Ordained as a Deaconess for the term 2016-2019, Billie Ann Sutton also serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Personnel Committee and leads the Women’s Bible Study on Sunday mornings. She and her husband, Carlos, joined Berea Baptist Church in 2009 and have lived in the Fredericksburg area since 2005. After almost 37 years of Federal service, Billie Ann retired from the position of Director, Division of Administrative Management Services, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, FDA, in 2001. She is an avid reader and crossword puzzler and, in their spare time, she and Carlos travel whenever possible. They share a daughter, son-in-law, three granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.

Prayer Chain – Brenda Blake
We have a prayer chain which is activated by contacting Brenda Blake. Prayer requests and most updates are e-mailed as they are received. A weekly prayer request update is e-mailed Saturday. Please put “Prayer Request” in the subject line when e-mailing your prayer request. We request an update every two weeks. If we do not receive an update, the name may be deleted from the bulletin and it would need to be resubmitted.
