Phil Howard
PASTOR
Phil Howard has been at Berea since September of 2014. He is originally from Louisiana where he graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2003. He served as a youth minister in various churches before coming to Berea. Pastor Phil is married to Mandy Howard and they have three children. Having lived in Fredericksburg since 2005, Phil has built many connections in the community through ministry, coaching sports, and volunteering with the BSA Scouts and Cub Scout programs. Phil is currently a Tiger Den Leader.

Bill Anderson
STUDENT PASTOR
Bill Anderson is originally from Spokane, WA. At the age of 18, Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, eventually being stationed in Virginia. Bill having not grown up in a Christian home came to faith as an adult. Bill completed a Master's of Theological Studies degree in 2023 from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he is currently studying for a Master of Divinity degree. Bill joined Berea Baptist Church in 2022 as the Youth Pastor. Bill is married to Katie and has a daughter (Audrie) and a son (Jackson).

Susan Irizarry
WORSHIP LEADER
Susan Irizarry grew up in Warren, Ohio in a loving Christian home, youngest of five children. She attended church where her father was a deacon and her mother taught Sunday school. She graduated from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, Vocal Performance. Since leaving Ohio she has lived in Maryland and Mississippi and moved to Virginia in 2000 where she intends to stay. She has played piano, sung solos, sung in duets, trios, quartets, choirs and praise bands in many churches – directing choirs in cantatas and musical plays as a Minister of Music. She has two grown sons, Matthew and Kevin.
